The February 2 Storm
Just a few photos from a little snowshoe outing. Depending on where you walk, the snow either comes only up to your calf muscle and easily releases your foot when you lift it, or you sink down almost to your waist, from which situation you can only try to fall to one side and roll away to shallower snow.
Central Michigan and Michigan State are closed today; tomorrow is not certain. I went out this morning in a leisurely way to crank up the tractor to plow the driveway, but I had to dig the tractor out not more than eight feet from the shed. Now we're waiting for a neighbor with a gigantic truck and snow plow, but we're content to wait here.
